I’m sorry but Wicca is not an old religion, it’s a completely new religion part of the Neo-Pagan movement based on a mix of Western and Eastern practices and old beliefs. No one back then practiced Wicca the way it is now. Wicca as we know it today started in the 1950’s to 1960’s by Gerald Gardner. If you really want to get technical it was when Gerald Gardner published his book Witchcraft Today in 1954. In terms of how long Wicca has been around it’s still a fairly new religion existing roughly about 60 years.

The fundamentals of Wicca were influenced by Aleister Crowley and the Golden Dawn, Freemasonry, Ceremonial Magick, Margaret Murray, Robert Graves, & various cultures both East and West. The Wheel of the Year was never even practiced back then and it is a mix of 2 cultures, Celtic & Germanic. There are plenty of other points that make Wicca it’s own based from various culture’s and influences.

Again Wicca is not an old religion but a very new modern religion.

^THANK YOU.
